The Simpsons is one of the longest-running programs in American history and currently the longest-running primetime series in any format. With decades under its belt, it’s not surprising that there’s merchandise of virtually every sort for this show. Given that there’s even a huge section of a major amusement park dedicated to the family, it makes sense that companies like LEGO would put out projects that allow you to put a piece of Springfield in your home. If you’re looking for excellent LEGOs that feature The Simpsons, you’ll definitely want to take a look at the small but growing selection of builds that are currently available.
The entire Simpsons line is actually a lot more recent than one would expect. The overwhelming success of the first build has not only led to the creation of a second major build, but also a line of minifigures. The Simpsons have also found themselves adapted in a few of LEGO’s other product lines, really helping to boost the overall number of options that are available right now. If you are looking to collect The Simpsons, though, you’re going to be looking at some unusual options – Brickheadz, blind bags, and even video game accessories. Taken together, though, you’ll have plenty of options.

The second set of LEGO Minifigures featuring characters from The Simpsons is definitely the best of the lot. It’s at that really nice point where they’ve moved past just providing the basic figures, but they’re not so deep into the show’s mythology that you’re going to end up with a character you don’t know or that you don’t like. For the most part, this series is filled with beloved characters you can’t find in other sets or unique versions of the family that come from early-seasons episodes.
In terms of unique characters, you’ll find Patty, Selma, Groundskeeper Willie, Comic Book Guy, Waylon Smithers, Smithers, Dr. Hibbert, Professor Frink, Martin Prince, Hans MOleman, and Edna Krabappel in this set. The set also has Homer in a suit, Marge in a dress, Bart as Bartman, Milhouse as Fallout Boy, Maggie with a Santa Hat, and Lisa with Snowball II. As with all of the blind bagged versions of the characters, you’ll also get a unique accessory with whichever character you wind up pulling. While you can’t guarantee getting the character you want from this set, there’s really not a bad pick in the bunch.
For most fans of The Simpsons, this is really the big set. A great recreation of the house on Evergreen Terrace, it’s a great representation of the house that’s at the center of the show. Not only does this one have a great exterior, but the roof unhinges to reveal several of the rooms of the Simpsons’ home. Much larger than you’d expect from looking at pictures online, this is one of those sets that packs in a lot of loving details in order to really delight fans of the show.
The house itself is great, but what’s really amazing are the little things included with the massive set. You get the full Simpsons family plus Ned Flanders here, plus a ton of decorations lifted right from the show. You’ll get the Simpsons’ car, Bart’s skateboard ramp, Flanders’ grill, and more in this box. What’s great, though, is that everything feels really unique – the colors chosen here do feel like they were lifted right out of the show, and all of the minifigures look suitably unique. Though this is a really big set, it’s not a complicated build – it’s perfect for anyone who is a fan of the show, no matter their level of LEGO experience.
The other ‘big’ Simpsons set is the Kwik-E-Mart, the store run by Apu and home to many famous moments in the history of The Simpsons. Almost as recognizable as the house on Evergreen Terrace, it’s also an incredible build in its own right. Just like the other big set, it features an opening roof and the ability to open up the building to see what’s inside. Once you’ve opened it up, you can see that a lot of work was put into thet Kwik-E-Mart – it’s definitely much bigger than you might imagine.
This build features almost every room that’s ever been seen on the show, along with a ton of great little easter eggs. The set comes with minifigures of Homer, Marge, Bart, Apu, Snake, and Chief Wiggum, as well as Chief Wiggum’s police car. Almost every inch of this build is covered with little nods to the show, from El Barto graffiti near the dumpster to Angry Dad comics being sold in the newsstand. A lot of love clearly went into the design of this set, and it’s definitely a must-have for anyone who loves The Simpsons.
Itchy and Scratchy are two of the weirdest characters from The Simpsons. They’re not actually part of the cast, after all – they’re characters of a show within a show. These two ultra-violent cartoon characters have shown up in the weirdest of places, from dream sequences to theme parks and they continue to be among the most important parts of the Simpsons world. It’s natural, then, that fans would want minifigures of these two cartoons. Fortunately, the figures that were produced are actually pretty nice – and they’re perfect for anyone who wants to build up a bigger Simpsons world.
Itchy and Scratchy are roughly in scale to one another, so there’s a size disparity here that’s not terribly common among LEGO minifigures. Each comes with its own deadly accessories, which are two of the only actual weapons that you’ll see in the actual Simpsons line. It’s really nice to see some care put into these figures, especially because they could have been such easy throw-aways. They’re a really good fit for anyone who is trying to build up their cast of Simpsons characters and a great addition to any collection of minifigures even for those who are not looking to collect Simpsons characters.
Ned is one of the more famous Simpsons characters, and it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that his Minifigure is in pretty high demand. Though a version of Ned does come with the bigger Simpsons House set, it’s not actually one of the better minifigures out there. If you’re looking for the ideal version of Ned, you’re definitely going to want to track down this model. Not only does it look better, but it comes with some accessories that are definitely going to please any Simpsons fan.
While the held decor on this version of Ned does look at lot better than what you get with the earlier House set, the included accessories are actually fun little draws in and of themselves. This version of Ned comes with a mug from his Left-a-torium and the toolbox that he lent out to Home Simpson, both great little visual gags that are throwbacks to some of the show’s better episodes. If you’re a completionist who is looking to get all the little bits of Simpsons gear that you can find or if you just want one of the better Ned minifigures, this is definitely something that you’ll need to track down.
If you haven’t been keeping up with the world of collectible figures, you probably aren’t all that familiar with the Brickheadz line. Less a toy and more of a collectible statute, Brickheadz are the LEGO equivalent of Funko Pops. Each is lovingly crafted but definitely stylized, with big heads and small bodies. It’s natural for The Simpsons to be part of this line, and this particular build gives collectors access to two of the great Simpsons characters – Homer Simpson and Krusty the Clown.
These are two of the easiest Brickheadz builds that you’re going find, making them perfect for those who are more interested in displaying the finished product than in putting them together. Both have the signature Brickheadz look with tiny bodies and giant heads, though both do have neat little accessories that the characters can hold. These are great for those who are just looking for something simple to put on their desks or who want something as part of a larger Simpsons display. Though they’re not exactly at the same scale as other LEGO builds, they’re still a really fun addition to any Simpsons collection.
LEGO Dimensions was a sadly short-lived toy-based game that was featured on most of the modern consoles, allowing players to bring in LEGO characters from across a number of different properties to play in the same game. The big gimmick for Dimensions was that its LEGO characters were activated by using actual LEGO bricks – you don’t actually need the game to play with the toys. Now that Dimensions is no more, the minifigures and accessories live on as independent toys. If you’re a fan of The Simpsons, one of the best sets to get is the Homer Simpson level pack.
If you’ve still got LEGO Dimensions, this is the pack you’d have to get to play the Simpsons level. If you don’t have the game, you get a three-pack of LEGO builds – a TV, a miniature version of the Simpsons’ car, and a unique Homer mini-figure. Quite honestly, this set is worth it just because of Homer but the other two are quite nice as well. These are all unique versions of the props, so you won’t be able to find them anywhere else. If you’re looking for a nice mini-figure and accessories or if you’re still hunting down the last pieces of a really fun game, you’ll love this set.
There are a few different Apu figures in the various LEGO lines, but the best one is definitely the semi-exclusive minifigure that was released in 2014. Featuring a similar head sculpt to the minifigure included in the Kwik-E-Mart, it has a different body and a unique accessory. Like most of the single-packed minis, this figure is definitely a fairly nice step up from the packed-in version and comes with its own unique accessory. It’s perhaps the best way to get a quality Apu figure without having to invest in one of the big sets, especially if you’re short on space for something like the Kwik-E-Mart.
The unique accessory with this figure is a Squishee cup, which is similar to the cup that comes with the Kwik-E-Mart set. This one does, however, have a different top so it can add a little variety to your overall Simpsons set. Like the figure itself, though, the accessory is much easier to get here without having to make the steeper investment in the major set. If your goal is really just to get a good collection of all of The Simpsons’ most famous characters, you absolutely need to get this Apu figure.
Perhaps the best way to experience the Simpsons in LEGO form is with the LEGO Dimensions game. While this 3-pack does include the Home LEGO Dimensions pack mentioned above, it also includes two more fun packs – one featuring Bart and another featuring Krusty the Clown. These packs can be added to the game in order to build up your roster of characters and vehicles or just played with on their own.
Much like the Homer set, this three-pack is great because you don’t actually need to own the LEGO Dimensions game to play with the set. You’ll not only get all of the pieces that came with Homer, but two unique Minifigures for the other characters as well as two other small vehicles. Though neither vehicle is big enough to fit a character, both are of a good size to use as accessories for either the Simpsons House or Kwik-E-Mart playset.
