Before we go any further, The Amazing Book of LEGO Star Wars is squarely aimed at the younger and so the books presentation is portrayed in such a way as to appeal to younger LEGO fans. Each two page spread focuses on a particular character or aspect of the LEGO Star Wars universe.
You’ll notice pages feel quite thick, this not only helps to withstand smaller hands at little more but also allows for some pages to be folded out, offering a better look at some of the Minifigures and LEGO sets on show throughout the book.
Unlike some of DK Books other LEGO offerings, apart from the actual images of LEGO, there is no real connection to the brand. So no interesting LEGO facts or behind the scenes looks, all the basic information within the book is generic Star Wars facts.
It may not interest the older LEGO or Star Wars fan compared to other LEGO Star Wars titles, but it’s the perfect way to introduce younger fans to both LEGO and Star Wars, especially as the book covers the entire 40 years of the saga. Although a lot of stock imagery is used, it’s all presented in a fun and colourful manner. Plus the addition of a large poster is a nice bonus.
The Amazing Book of LEGO Star Wars is published by DK Books and is available now from all good book retailers
