Introducing Custom Creations From Minifigstudio

We often take a look at some of the ace custom creations from our friends at, Firestar Toys,, MinifigsForLife and Fab Bricks. Recently we were contacted by Minifigstudio, a new gang of custom creators from the UK. It was set up by a trio of LEGO® fans, Carl, his brother Ethan and a good friend of theirs Steve. They began making a few characters for fun, which they sold on ebay and at local toy fairs. Having noticing they creations were selling, they decided to setup the minifigstudio website and offer their custom work, as well as our personalised minifigures service.
One of their most popular character became Ricky Gervais’ David Brent, with the man himself giving the Minifigure some great exposure, by both purchasing one of the David Brent Minifigures and sharing it via his twitter and Facebook pages. With this publicity came a huge boost in views and sales, everything was going perfectly, until shortly before Christmas one of the founders, Steve unexpectedly passed away. After the initial shock of their loss, they decided to carrying on with the business and as it stands they currently offer 27 custom printed Minifigures and have created over 104 personalised Minifigures.

Minifigstudio have kindly sent us two of their custom creations to take a closer look at, David Brent and modern day Sherlock Holmes. Both custom Minifigures are a great likeness of their real world counterparts. Brent includes a guitar and I like the way his shirt looks tucked in over his belly thanks to print detail on the torso blending into the legs. Sherlock also includes a custom material coat. You can check them both out below. As well as their pre-made characters Minifigstudio also offers a create you own personalised service. Check out their full range of customs right here.
