Google & LEGO Join Forces For Google Build Assistant

Tired of turning pages, constantly in fear of paper cuts or maybe you just don’t have room for a smallish booklet of paper when building your latest LEGO® set? Then The LEGO Groups latest venture with Alphabet, is just what you need. LEGO and Google have worked together to create Google Build Assistant – a smart, voice activated instructional tool which is built around the Google Assistant API. Simply activate Google Build Assistant by saying ‘OK Google Let’s Build LEGO’ you will then be asked to state which set you want to build and the Google Build Assistant will tell you which elements you need and where they need to be placed in the build. This smart new feature works in conjunction with other Google Devices so you can use it on various Android phones and tablets or the new Google Home or Gnome devices. It also includes a visual option which will also show elements and build steps on your mobile, laptop or even TV screen with Chromecast. googlebuildexample1 Google Build Assistant will constantly be updated with new sets and there are plans to add older sets as well. Speaking of this new way of building LEGO Head of AI Control, Malthe Aprïlis said “In todays hectic world, people don’t have the time to turn pages, with Build Assistant from our friends at Google, this tiresome task has been eliminated” The latest Google invention is currently in its BETA phase with owners of Pixel mobiles and the upcoming Google Home devices getting the first try of the fun new feature. google-home-product-shot-796x429
